This HETAS course is for candidates who have relevant experience within the construction industry, including allied trades such as plumbing and heating installers. A training certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course, enabling the candidate to apply for registration with HETAS on the competent person's registration scheme for the installation of dry appliances.
Details: This course combines three modules into one course, bringing together content from the former H003DS and H006 courses.
What’s included:
Core Knowledge – An introduction to solid fuel, wood and biomass systems, covering fuel types, combustion, appliance use and key legislation. Ideal for beginners.
Chimneys & Flues – Covers flue design, ventilation, inspection, testing and fault finding. Required before moving on to installation courses.
Dry Appliance Installer – Teaches the skills needed to install, commission and maintain solid fuel and biomass appliances.

Relevant construction or trade experience
OFTEC 101, 102 or 105e
Gas Safe CCN1 + HTR1
Member of GOMCS, APICS or NACS
