Ascentor Chimney Stack

Pre-fabricated mono-pitch chimney stack

The Ascentor models are a working chimney inside an aesthetic stack. Available in many models and different finishes meeting the demands of your project and environment.

Available as square or rectangular, with a various range of finishes ( brickslip, roughcast, smoothcoat), our Ascentor Chimney Stack comes complete with a pre-installed section of Therminox ZI twin wall insulated chimney system. Our twin wall insulated system chimney is CE marked and designated as suitable for use with all gas, oil, pellet and wood burning appliances. Complete with a comprehensive range of standard accessories to suit all applications. It is ideally suited for operating temperature up to 450°C and comes with a 10 year Axa backed guarantee.

Our range of pre-fabricated chimney stacks can generally be installed in less than an hour without the need of any structural work to the roof trusses. The chimney stack unit is lightweight and is easily man handled into position without the need of heavy lifting equipment or carnage.

To ensure a weather tight roof, our chimney stacks come complete with a designed flashing suitable for most of the roofing materials and roof pitches.

All of the products offered by Cheminées Poujoulat have been rigorously tested in every configuration by the CERIC Laboratory to ensure they meet highest standards (Building Regulation Document J - Amendements to Approved Documents).

Easy to install: The ASCENTOR Chimney Stack can generally be installed in less than an hour without the need of any structural work to the roof trusses.

1-Remove roof tiles locate and fit the flashing plate to the roof. The flashing base is hooked to a batten to avoid slipping and it is positioned in place of 4 to 6 roof tiles.

2- The roof mounted chimney stack is simply seated on the flashing base; it must be checked, levelled and adjusted if necessary

3- The fixing kit support channels are fixed to the chimney stack with studding and wing nuts, trapping the roof trusses between the two components. The stability and integrity of the roof mounted Chimney Stack is now guaranteed.

4- Further sections of Therminox chimney can easily be added to complete the installation. All sections should be secured using the supplied Locking Bands and safety rings.



Termination position & heights


For solid fuel appliance

 

Where the chimney passes through a pitched roof more than 0.6m from the ridge the horizontal distance between the roof and the chimney termination shall be not less than 2.3m unless the termination is at least 0.6m above the ridge (excluding any chimney terminal).


Where the discharge end of the chimney flue is within a horizontal distance of 2.3m from any adjoining structure or opening into building the termination height shall be not than 1m above that structure or opening.

 

Where the chimney passes through a flat roof or a shallow pitched roof having a slope less than 10°, the chimney termination shall be 1m above the level of the roof at the point of penetration through the structure.
