Luminance Chimney Stacks

Designer chimney stacks for houses

Poujoulat has identified a strategic priority focus, which is the integration of design as a vector for renewal, diversification and increased value.

The LUMINANCE range has been created by the Design agency IDA (Industrie Design Architecture – Paris Milano) and offers a large number of choices.

This range has been designed whilst taking high environmental quality and sustainable development into consideration. It provides excellent draught and optimises heating appliance efficiency

Luminance relies on the same technical basis as the other Poujoulat chimney stacks, and therefore guarantees quality, performance and quick and easy installation. Installation can be carried out by one or two persons, without roof-frame reinforcement or structural work. The components are supplied on-site "ready to install", depending on the house's characteristics.

Therminox chimneys are perfectly adapted to the Luminance chimney stack.

The quality of Poujoulat products is recognized and recommended by the largest European heating appliance manufacturers.

All of the products offered by Cheminées Poujoulat have been rigorously tested in every configuration by the CERIC Laboratory to ensure they meet highest standards (Building Regulation Document J - Amendements to Approved Documents).

  • Great customisation choice
  • Quick and easy to install
  • High-quality materials
  • Ensures good draught
  • Optimises applicance efficiency
  • Ten-year guarantee and CERIC Tested (test laboratory).

The chimney stacks from the Luminance range are fitted with a Therminox ZI insulated multi-fuel chimney upon request.
Water tightness on the roof is secured through a flashing produced in the factory depending on the slope of the roof and the roofing material.

Termination position & heights

For solid fuel appliance
Where the chimney passes through a pitched roof more than 0.6m from the ridge the horizontal distance between the roof and the chimney termination shall be not less than 2.3m unless the termination is at least 0.6m above the ridge (excluding any chimney terminal).

Where the discharge end of the chimney flue is within a horizontal distance of 2.3m from any adjoining structure or opening into building the termination height shall be not than 1m above that structure or opening.

Where the chimney passes through a flat roof or a shallow pitched roof having a slope less than 10°, the chimney termination shall be 1m above the level of the roof at the point of penetration through the structure.

Note: for more details about termination positions, please refer to Building Regulation Part J
